2) Exchange or Trade Links
The aim in exchanging links with other sites, is for both of you to benefit and therefore to increase traffic. Make sure the sites you trade with are relevant or at least related and ideally trade with sites that have a higher page rank than you.
Don't get this confused with backlinks which is a different strategy.

Viral marketing is a great tool that allows you to spread the word about your company, product or website at very low cost indeed. Some people think this is a bit of a sneaky method, but in truth it is just good solid marketing and making the best use of your resources to maximize profits!

Some forums do not allow a sig box until you have made a certain number of posts (10 normally).
And, when you first join, don't go in and blatantly sell. Ask for help by all means, offer advice and participate. 7) Lastly Write and Publish A Newsletter
If you are truly knowledgeable about your subject write a monthly or weekly newsletter. It's a great opportunity to sell and promote, it gets more of your information out on the www and they can go viral as well. A newsletter is also a great source of new and unique content that you can use to help keep your site alive and regularly updated.
